Apollo

I’ve been thinking about the moon lately. Last week, there was a beautiful full moon.  And it was the fiftieth anniversary of our landing on the moon.  Last week, I also saw the ballet Apollo.  It was lovely, all of the dancers in white- with the god Apollo a central figure.

It doesn’t seem possible that it’s been fifty years since we landed. But it has. So much has happened in these fifty years. My life has been good, but full of changes.  I’m happy for some, mourn for others.  But we can always count on the moon for wonder and joy, and know that halfway around the world someone can watch the magnificent moon, too. That in itself a wonder that I cherish.
